VESPER AVENUE PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked into the heart of Tarneit Rise Estate, Vesper Avenue Park serves as the neighbourhood's reliable gathering spot. The expansive grassy areas provide plenty of room for a kick-about, while two free public barbecues make weekend family gatherings a breeze - though you might want to bring your own cleaning supplies given the heavy local use. The playground equipment shows its age and could use some council attention, but kids still gravitate toward the jungle gym and pair of swings. A solitary basketball hoop attracts the older crowd, and the thoughtful drinking fountain caters to both humans and their four-legged companions. It's the sort of unpretentious local park that does exactly what it needs to do, even if it won't win any design awards.
